What is the Thrive Health Band?
Thrive Health Band (also called Thrive Band) is a screen-free wrist wearable paired with the Thrive by Optihealth app (available for Apple and Android) and My Health portal. It learns what’s normal for you, then lets you Ask Thrive about your patterns.
How much does the Thrive Band cost in Australia?
Thrive Complete is A$660 for 12 months, paid upfront (usual A$740), or A$800 for 24 months. Packs for two, three and four people start at A$1,200. Prices are AUD, GST included. The monthly figure is an equivalent only, not a monthly payment.
What does the Thrive Band measure?
The Band uses five sensing technologies: PPG for heart and pulse, single-lead ECG for heart rhythm, bioimpedance for body composition, a temperature sensor and a six-axis IMU for movement. Some results are measured, some are estimated, and some are derived from your patterns over time.
Is the Thrive Band a medical device?
Thrive is intended to support general health, fitness and wellbeing. Certain measurements are estimates or trend-based indicators and should not be used independently to diagnose, treat or prevent a medical condition. Anyone concerned about their health should consult a qualified healthcare professional.
What is included with Thrive Complete?
Each Thrive Complete plan includes the Band, the mobile app, the My Health web portal, Health Fingerprint, Ask Thrive, Thrive Loops and your data, for the period you choose.
Do I own the Band?
Yes. You own the Band. It is yours to keep, including after your Plan ends.
Ownership of the Band is separate from paid access to the Thrive app, My Health on the web, Ask Thrive and Thrive Loops. Those connected services are part of your Plan and are not ongoing after the included period unless you choose the Thrive Connected Plan or buy Thrive Complete again.
You also own your data. You choose what to share through Thrive Loops, and you can change or revoke access at any time.
Why does Thrive have Plans?
Your Plan pays for one connected health system, built around you. The Band captures your signals. The app and web portal bring them together with your everyday habits to help you understand what they mean.
We understand wanting fewer subscriptions. That’s why Thrive brings sleep, recovery, activity, nutrition, body composition, mood, symptoms, medications and health records into one place. Your Plan also includes Ask Thrive for questions in everyday language, and Thrive Loops for sharing with the people you choose.
The value continues beyond the day you receive your Band. As you wear it and add context, Thrive learns what’s usual for you and helps you explore patterns across your health. Your Plan supports that ongoing analysis, along with software updates and improvements.
One Plan keeps it all connected, so you can spend less time piecing information together and more time putting it to use.
What am I getting for my money with Thrive?
Thrive brings together what you might otherwise pay for across several health and fitness products, with the added value of connecting the information for you.
For A$660, Thrive Complete includes your Band and 12 months of the Thrive app and My Health web portal. That’s equivalent to A$55 a month for the first year, including the Band, paid upfront.
Your Plan includes insights across sleep, recovery, activity, heart and more, a personal baseline that learns what’s usual for you across nine areas of your health, nutrition logging and Food Fit, body composition, and a place to record mood, symptoms, medications, supplements, blood tests and health records. It also includes Ask Thrive, so you can ask questions in everyday language, and Thrive Loops, so you can share with people you choose.
Buying separate devices and apps can add up. It also leaves you to work out how everything fits together. Thrive connects your Band readings with the everyday context you add, learning what’s usual for you and helping you understand patterns and changes over time.
The value is having more of your health in one place, and help making sense of it.
How much does the Thrive Band cost on its own?
The Thrive Band costs $500 on its own. A Thrive Plan is required to access the connected app, web portal and features such as Ask Thrive and Thrive Loops.
For $660, Thrive Complete includes the Band and 12 months of the full Thrive experience.
What happens at the end of my 12 or 24 month Plan?
You keep the Band. Ownership of the Band is separate from paid access to connected services. Connected access, including the app, web portal, Ask Thrive, Loops and stored data tools, is not ongoing after the included period. It does not renew automatically.
Your data stays available for 30 days after the plan ends. Then you can:
- Renew Thrive Complete for another A$660. You get a new band plus 12 more months of the Thrive Connected Plan.
- Keep your current band and renew the Thrive Connected Plan for another 12 months. A$240 a year (A$20 a month).
Does Thrive ship Australia-wide?
Yes. Dispatch is usually 2 to 3 business days. Shipping is free Australia-wide under the launch offer, then A$14.99.
What is included in the 12-month Thrive Care Warranty?
12-month Thrive Care Warranty
Wear it with confidence. We’re here if something goes wrong.
Your Thrive Band comes with 12 months of Thrive Care. If your Band develops a covered fault, we’ll arrange a replacement straight away once our support team confirms the issue. You won’t need to wait for a repair.
We’ll help you through a few simple checks, organise your replacement and cover standard delivery and the return of your faulty product within Australia.
Thrive Care is included at no extra cost and sits alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
What’s covered
Thrive Care covers faults in materials or workmanship affecting your Thrive Band, supplied strap or charging accessory under normal use, in accordance with our product instructions.
Cover runs for 12 months from the date you receive your product, when purchased from Thrive or an authorised Australian seller. You do not need an active Thrive Plan to make a hardware warranty claim.
How replacement works
Contact us with your order number or another reasonable proof of purchase, a description of the issue and, where helpful, a photo or short video.
Our support team may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting steps to confirm whether the issue requires a replacement. We’ll keep these checks proportionate and avoid unnecessary delays.
Once we confirm a covered fault, we’ll arrange a replacement without waiting for a repair or for the faulty product to arrive back. Our target is to dispatch within two business days of confirmation.
If only the strap or charging accessory is faulty, we’ll replace that component.
Replacements will be new and of the same model where available. If that model or colour is unavailable, we’ll agree a suitable alternative with you. We’ll tell you promptly about any delay, without affecting your consumer rights.
Returning the faulty product
If we request its return, we’ll provide a prepaid return label and instructions. Please send it back within 14 days of receiving your replacement, or contact us if you need more time.
Please do not post a damaged, swollen or overheating battery. Contact us first for safe handling instructions.
What this additional warranty does not cover
- Loss or theft.
- Accidental damage, including crushing, impact or pet damage.
- Ordinary cosmetic wear, such as scratches, fading or staining that does not affect function.
- Normal gradual battery ageing. A faulty battery or premature failure under normal use remains covered.
- Damage caused by misuse, unsuitable charging equipment, or use outside the product’s stated water-resistance and care instructions.
- Damage caused by unauthorised modifications or repairs.
These exclusions apply only where the excluded event caused the problem. They do not remove your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
App, account, connectivity or setup issues will first be addressed through support. A hardware replacement applies where the issue is caused by a covered hardware fault.
Replacement coverage
A replacement remains covered for the balance of the original 12-month Thrive Care period. Receiving a replacement does not restart this additional warranty. Your statutory rights in relation to the replacement continue to apply.
Claim costs
Thrive pays standard replacement delivery and requested return postage within Australia for covered claims. If you incur reasonable postage costs for a covered claim, send your receipt to our support email so we can reimburse you. Please contact us before arranging a return so we can provide the correct instructions.
Your consumer rights
Thrive Care provides benefits in addition to your rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law. Those rights may continue beyond the 12-month warranty period. Nothing in these terms limits any entitlement to a repair, replacement, refund or compensation under that law.

What is Ask Thrive?
Ask Thrive is how you put a question to your own health picture, in ordinary language. It uses your wearable signals and the context you record to help you explore patterns, not to give medical advice.
Who owns my Thrive data?
You own the Band and your data. You choose what to share through Thrive Loops, and you can change or revoke access at any time.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 14 days. A charge takes 30 to 40 minutes. You get a reminder at 35%. Check battery in app Settings.
Can I shower or swim with the Thrive Band?
Yes. The Band is IP68 / 5 ATM. You can shower and swim. It is rated for sauna use up to 80°C and cold down to −20°C.
What size is the Band?
One size. Band length 28 cm.
Does Thrive connect to Apple Health?
No. Thrive is designed as an all-in-one health solution, bringing your Band, app and web portal together in one connected system. Your activity, sleep, recovery, nutrition, women’s or men’s health, gut health and everyday check-ins all contribute to one connected health picture.
This means more value from one platform, without paying for multiple apps or piecing together information from different services.
How does Thrive compare with Whoop?
Whoop is typically used for strain, recovery and sleep around training. Thrive is a connected health picture: the Band, the mobile app and My Health on the web together. You add everyday context such as nutrition, mood, medications and records. Thrive learns your personal baseline, builds a Health Fingerprint, and lets you Ask Thrive in ordinary language. It also measures body composition and includes Thrive Loops for sharing with people you choose. Nutrition, women’s health, men’s health, gut health and activity sit in one place. You never own a device with Whoop and have to pay extra for ECG. Whoop uses population benchmarks.
How does Thrive compare with Hume Band?
People may compare Hume and Thrive as wearables. They’re not the same class of product.
Thrive is a five-sensor Australian-designed system: PPG, single-lead ECG, bioimpedance, temperature and motion, feeding a personal baseline, Health Fingerprint with Ask Thrive, My Health on the web, and Loops. Context you record sits with your signals, not scattered across other apps. Australian owned, designed, developed and supported. We source components globally (multi-sourced), assemble the band to our specification, and own the product, and it isn’t a white-label of someone else’s wearable.
Hume sells a longevity-framed band. Its Band 2.0 FCC filing lists a Chinese OEM as the equipment-authorisation grantee. Different ownership model: brand + OEM path, versus a product designed and controlled end-to-end by an Australian company.
How do I change my password?
To change your password, sign out, tap "Forgot Password?" on the login screen and enter your email. Open the reset link on the same phone and Thrive will open so you can set a new password.
How do I see REM sleep?
To see REM sleep, keep your band connected and close to your phone, then go to Settings (the cog at the top right) > Health Monitoring Settings and turn on "Precise sleep (minute-level)". It records REM from your next night of wear. In the morning, open Thrive with the band nearby, let it sync, and check that night's sleep. Earlier nights will still show "not measured".
It uses a bit more battery.
How do I wear the Thrive Health Band?
Wear the Thrive Health Band on either wrist, snugly, with the sensor touching your skin. Wearing it too loose can cause gaps in heart rate, SpO2 and sleep data.
How does Thrive compare with Oura?
Oura is a sleep and readiness ring. Battery is typically about a week. Many people still bolt on other apps for a fuller picture.
Thrive is a wrist Band with five sensing technologies: PPG, single-lead ECG, bioimpedance, temperature and movement. Results are labelled measured, estimated or derived. Thrive Complete includes the Band, app and web portal in one plan, with a Health Fingerprint over time and Ask Thrive. Sleep, recovery, activity, heart, body composition, food, medications, blood tests and the context you record sit together, so you do not need to integrate other apps for the complete picture. Up to 14 days between charges. IP68 / 5 ATM for showering and swimming.
